Kalbus Cottage – Watch Sunrises & Sunsets on Lake Winnebago

Overall a pleasant place to stay , right on the water. Weather wasnt supportive 2 out of the 3 days but still had fun. Only suggestion would be a larger fridge/freezer. Whats there is pretty small.

Fine for two people. Nice view of the lake. Beds comfortable, overall cottage could use some upgrades with furniture and interior paint. Biggest issue was the internet, very spotty for watching TV and using a laptop.

Waste of money Positive: Quite and very close to the lake Negative: Was not very clean, had dead bugs/spiders/spider webs everywhere. Smelled musty and not very clean. Beds were barely big enough for 1 person. Pictures were way different than the actual property. Fridge was either warm or frozen. Internet and tv were not very good.

This could be a nice place, but it needs a ton of work and cleaning. We booked our stay for three nights, but only stayed one. The indoor air quality was horrendous. Window AC unit blew dirty, musty air. Many of the windows did not have screens so no cross ventilation to let fresh air in. My lungs burned the entire time we were there. The sunroom window sills were dirty and moldy and only a couple screens worked. Lastly, there was a bees nest somewhere, so we were constantly swatting them in the sunroom. On the plus side, the location is right on the water and the bed was comfortable. ,
